Welcome to Autism Exposed

Autism is described and portrayed as being a puzzle. A puzzle that has missing pieces, but also a puzzle that new pieces are being found everyday.

“The puzzle piece is so effective because it tells us something about autism: our children are handicapped by a puzzling condition; this isolates them from normal human contact and therefore they do not 'fit in'. The suggestion of a weeping child is a reminder that autistic people do indeed suffer from their handicap.

“If, in the future, we can invest in our Society even more thought, effort and commitment, our puzzle piece will, at least in this country, become no longer just a logo on a letterhead but a symbol of hope for autistic people and their families."

Thank you for visiting Autism Exposed. It is because of people like you that advances and breakthroughs are made in the field of autism research.

Unlike many sites one may find, Autism Exposed presents information in a more personal and intimate way. This website will not provide you on the most technical information about Autism, however it will provide a compassionate and understanding angle to understanding this disorder.
Autism Exposed is designed for two main purposes:

1) To bring attention to Autism, a serious but overlooked issue, in society

2) To provide guidance and support to individuals who are affected by autism, be it a friend, relative, son or daughter, or even yourself. Please feel free to make any suggestions, comments, and concerns through the "Contact Us" form.

My interest in Autism began in 2006, when my mother had a conversation with a vice president of Marriott International. His son has Autism and she urged me to research this condition which effects the playful nature of children and isolates adults. I became so fascinated that I wrote my Extended Essay for the International Baccalaureate Program on it. It was one person who set me on this journey. It only takes one person to create change.

Thank you once again for visiting and remember, one person CAN make a difference.
